Just wanted to catch up with you and thank you again for the Feng Shui consultation. We have sorted through a ton of stuff already and donated a bunch of clothes and books. The rearranging is almost done, with the blue room being the last one to take shape. I LOVE the openness of our space now, it is so much lighter and brighter. Bringing in new plants has been really nice too, and now that there isn't so much clutter, it's a lot easier to keep up with watering everything. We are both really happy with the changes so far.
It's true that this seems to be emotional work as much as anything else. There is a bit of stress in letting go of old objects as well as old patterns of relating. But for the most part, the gains are quickly making the stresses pass. Putting in the bird feeder in the back is lovely. Getting the outdoors trimmed up and nice was such a relief, too. We don't yet have a walkway to the front, but we do have flowers and that really does perk up the front door a great deal. I had no idea this place could look this good!
I can't thank you enough for your help. This is something we should have done years ago, and we are once again loving our space. I don't think either of us is that inclined to move away from it anymore, and we aren't even done yet with making it even better!
Anyway, I am gushing with happiness and gratitude. Thank you for providing a non-biased eye and your expertise to help us nudge in some better directions. I can't wait to show you the place, it is completely transformed. :) "
